Bayern step up Dzeko chase

Bayern Munich will offer Manchester City £5million plus Thomas Muller in a bid to land striker Edin Dzeko, according to reports.
The Germans want to add to their attack after seeing Ivica Olic leave as a free agent and Dzeko has a proven track record in the Bundesliga.
City signed Dzeko for £27million from Wolfsburg in the January 2011 transfer window but he has enjoyed a mixed period of success at Eastlands.
He started most of this season's games from the bench under City boss Roberto Mancini and contributed 14 goals to City's title-winning Barclays Premier League campaign.
And now British newspaper The Sun claims that City are ready to let the powerful striker leave in a cash plus player swap deal.
It reports that the "prospect of landing Muller in exchange for Dzeko - plus around £5m - is hugely appealing to Etihad chiefs."
Should Dzeko leave in the summer, he will still be remembered fondly by City fans for his crucial goal against QPR on the last day of the season. It was the Bosnian who scored a stoppage-time equaliser against the Rs which provided the platform for Sergio Aguero's title winning strike for City.
