Juventus reach agreement for Isla and Asamoah

Juventus are reportedly on the verge of signing Mauricio Isla and Kwadwo Asamoah from Serie A rivals Udinese.

According to both Tuttosport and Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs have reached an agreement which would see the pair move to Turin for a combined fee of €15 million (£12.1m) as part of a co-ownership deal.

It first emerged earlier this week that the Bianconeri were in talks with the Zebrette over signing Isla and Asamoah, with the fee considered nothing more than a minor stumbling block. Indeed, now that a deal has brokered, it is expected to be finalised on Wednesday.

Versatile Chile wing-back Isla had been heavily linked with Inter during the January transfer window, while Ghana international midfielder Asamoah was reported to have attracted the interest of AC Milan, among others.

Consequently, the double deal is something of a coup for Juve, who will be able to utilise Isla anywhere down the right-hand side and avail of Asamoah's dynamism in midfield.
