Cesc Fabregas: Has returned to training following his recent injury

Spain's Cesc Fabregas has trained again after recovering from injury but Alvaro Arbeloa has emerged as a doubt for the defending champions.

Fabregas had been sidelined since suffering a thigh injury in Barcelona's 3-0 Copa del Rey victory over Athletic Bilbao late last month.

But the 25-year-old trained as normal with his Spanish team-mates ahead of their departure to Poland for Euro 2012 on Tuesday.

While Fabregas should be fit to begin Spain's campaign against Italy in Gdansk on Sunday, there are fears over Arbeloa.

The Real Madrid full-back failed to train due to a trapped nerve in his back.

The former Liverpool man was expected to start against the Azzurri and Vicente Del Bosque must now decide between switching Sergio Ramos to right-back or handing Juanfran his second cap.

Sevilla winger Jesus Navas also endured difficulties, having to go to hospital for a precautionary check on his hand.

"Jesus Navas went to hospital to undergo x-rays on his right hand after he bruised it during a training session this morning so as to re-assure himself that it was not serious," read a statement on the Spanish football federation's official website.
