Zaragoza have announced that coach Manolo Jimenez has signed a three-year contract extension with the club.
Despite saving Los Blanquillos from relegation last season, there had been considerable doubt over whether the former Spain international would remain at La Romareda because of his allegedly fractious relationship with his employers.
However, Zaragoza revealed on their official website on Monday evening that Jimenez has committed himself to the club until the summer of 2015.
The 48-year-old coach succeeded Javier Aguirre at the helm in December of last year and oversaw one of the great relegation escapes by leading his side to five victories in their final six games of the season to finish 16th, two points above the drop zone.
