Osvaldo: Zidane wants me to join Real

AS Roma's Pablo Osvaldo has revealed that Real Madrid sporting director Zinedine Zidane would like him to join the Spanish club.
According the recent reports in the Italian media, Real Madrid were hoping to buy Osvaldo for 10 millions Euros, throwing in midfielder Fernando Gago, who spent the season on-loan at the Stadio Olimpico, to sweeten the deal. However, latest news indicates the Giallorossi are not interested in taking on Gago permanently and will be rejecting Real's bid for Osvaldo.
Although the Italian claims to have no knowledge of Los Blancos' offer for him, he is aware that Zidane has taken an interest in bringing him to the Santiago Bernabeu.
"I have read the rumours about Real Madrid and their interest in me, but I have not heard anything or received any offer," Osvaldo said to ESPN.
"At a recent charity event, Zinedine Zidane told me he would like to see me play for Madrid."
Osvaldo signed for Roma at the start of last season from Espanyol. Despite finding his feet in Italy, the striker revealed that he prefers the playing style of La Liga.
"It was a huge step for me to join Roma, when it comes to just how I felt playing football, I found it easier in Spain," Osvaldo shared.
"But I am happy that I have joined Roma and last season was a great one for me."
