Alexandre Pato: The Brazil international was close to a January move to Paris Saint Germain
AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato is in no rush to return to Brazil after being linked with a move back to his homeland.
The 22-year-old, who first arrived in Italy in 2007, has been mentioned as a transfer target of former club Internacional and also Corinthians.
But having been close to a January switch to Paris Saint Germain, Pato wants to stay in Europe for the foreseeable future.
The Brazil international is under contract at Milan for another two years and told Terra: "I just want to make the most of my European career at this point.
"Some Brazilian players remain in Europe for about 10 to 12 years. I would be 27 if I return after 10 years here.
"Who knows whether I will then return to Brazil. You never know what will happen in the future.
"I can only thank the clubs that have approached my agent. I just have to do my thing on the pitch."
