Beckham: Management is not something I want to do

Former England captain David Beckham says he has no plans to move into management once he hangs up his boots at LA Galaxy.

The 37-year-old midfielder accompanied former Three Lions coach Fabio Capello to the 2010 World Cup as part of his backroom staff but insists that being a boss is not in his long-term plans.

"I love the game and love coaching kids, but management is not something I would want to do," he said on Sky Sports News.

“I have a few ideas but while I am still playing I will concentrate on that, and then think about other things when I am finished.”

The “few ideas” that Beckham touched upon may include the much-publicised option in his contract to become an MLS franchise owner, or even a move into the world of punditry.

Beckham also commented on England’s Euro 2012 prospects, suggesting that the Three Lions have the players to succeed on the international stage, despite the pressures involved.

"There is always going to be a certain amount of pressure and expectation on England but I think we are going to go into this competition relaxed and ready to play," he added.

"With the talent we have in this country there is always a chance of us winning. We have got the players and we have got the spirit, as simple as that."
