Indonesia youngster Andik Vermansyah received praise from Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni after his performance in the 3-0 loss to the Nerazzurri in a friendly match at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on Thursday.
The 36-year-old became the second coach after LA Galaxy's Bruce Arena to compliment Vermansyah in the last year.
"Tonight I was very happy with the way they played against us. They played well in the first half and have some quality players especially number 10 [Vermansyah] who impressed me," Stramaccioni told reporters.
Stramaccioni was also amazed by the euphoria of the spectators during the match and stated that the enthusiasm of Indonesian fans was remarkable.
"This tour is proving to be a marvellous, exciting experience. It's wonderful to see all these people so passionate about sport in general and football in particular and especially passionate about Inter," he described.
"It's a joy to see and this is what football should always be like. We're proud to be here and we've already taken to these people within hours of arriving here.
"We want to thank Indonesia for all the passion they've shown."
