Andrea Stramaccioni has insisted that Inter is working hard in the transfer market as well as on the pitch in a bid to return to the top of Italian soccer.
The Nerazzuri struggled throughout the 2011-12 campaign and eventually had to settle for a sixth-place finish in the Serie A table. Nevertheless, Stramaccioni has stressed that the team will attempt to resolve all its issues and return to the pinnacle.
"We're striving to get back to the top. Problems are there to be solved and we are very clear on to how to do that, president [Massimo] Moratti knows what to do," Stramaccioni was quoted as saying on the official Inter website.
"Inter have very clear transfer targets and we're working well. I can't comment on any new additions because I've not had anything confirmed.
"Nonetheless Inter are working very hard to achieve success both now and going forward. Inter need to be at the top end of the table."
The Nerazzurri are set to make Rodrigo Palacio their first transfer in the off season after reaching an agreement with Genoa for the Argentine forward.
