Diego Lopez has joined Sevilla from relegated Villarreal, both clubs have revealed.
The goalkeeper has signed a five-year deal with the Andalusians for an undisclosed fee.
Lopez's move comes after the Yellow Submarine were relegated from the Primera Division following their 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in their last game of the season.
The 30-year-old originally joined Villarreal from Real Madrid in the summer of 2007 for around €7 million (£5.6m) and helped the club to a second-placed finish in his first season at El Madrigal.
Lopez is the first big-name player to announce his departure from the struggling side following their relegation, with the likes of Giuseppe Rossi and Nilmar also believed to be nearing the exit door.
