On Saturday, May 19, 2012, the Harrisburg City Islanders hosted a game against the Dayton Dutch Lions at Skyline Sports Complex on City Island in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This game proved to be a great one for the City Islanders and provided the City Islanders with just their second victory of the season in six games. The team took the victory by a score of 4-0 over the Dutch Lions. It was an especially good day for one player. Though Morgan Langley got the first goal, the rest of the night was all Yann Ekra, who scored a hat trick. Nick Noble also had a pretty good day. It was his work as goalkeeper that made the game a shutout. He made some great saves during the game.

Currently, the City Islanders are in the middle of the 2012 USL Pro standings. After the team played six games, the City Islanders have a record of 2-1-3 and nine points. The top teams, the Orlando City Lions and the Rochester Rhinos, both have records of 6-0-1 and 19 points. At the bottom of the league is the Dayton Dutch Lions. The Lions have a record of 0-4-3 and three points. There is still plenty of time for the City Islanders to get more points and hopefully the team will once again make the playoffs. There are still 18 games left for the team to play before the season ends. The playoffs begin on August 24, 2012 and go through September 9.

Up next for the City Islanders is a match against the Long Island Ruff Ryder on Tuesday, May 22. This game will be a part of the U.S. Open Cup tournament. The team is asking all fans to come out and cheer the City Islanders on. All seats are discounted to $5 for the event. Then, there will be a home game against the Rochester Rhinos on Friday, May 25. This game will be a tough one for the City Islanders. The Rhinos are currently undefeated, though the team does have one tie. Fans should also mark Tuesday, June 12, on the calendar. That day there will be a home game against the Philadelphia Union. The Union are an MLS team that have close ties with the City Islanders and some players have gone from the City Islanders to the Union.
