Balotelli promises to behave at Euros

Manchester City's Mario Balotelli has reassured Italy manager Cesare Prandelli that he will behave himself at Euro 2012.
While few can doubt Balotelli's abilities on the pitch, it has often been his off-the-field antics that has drawn him all the wrong kinds of attention. The various controversies plaguing him this season led to speculation that Prandelli will not be taking the striker to Euro 2012. However, those reports were unfounded as Balotelli has been publically backed by the manager and named in Prandelli's provisional squad.
The Manchester City player told Il Corriere Dello Sport that he is eager to repay the faith of those who have stuck by him this year.
"Don't worry, there will be no problems at the Euros, I will keep myself under control," Balotelli said.
"Prandelli and [Manchester City boss] Roberto Mancini are the greatest coaches I've worked with in my career, and they are also great people. I have to thank them so much."
While Balotelli realizes that defending champions Spain will be tipped to succeed at the upcoming tournament, he believes Italy should not be ruled out of the running.
"Spain are the strongest side in the world, but nobody is unbeatable. I have no doubt about it, Italy will be the team to watch at the Euros," Balotelli stated.
