Dani Alves: Sidelined with shoulder surgery
Barcelona have confirmed that Brazilian star Dani Alves has been ruled out for up to two months after breaking his collarbone.
The attacking right-back was injured during training on Wednesday morning and scans showed the full extent of the injury.
He underwent surgery almost immediately and will now be out of action until July, ready for pre-season training.
The news means Alves will now miss the Copa Del Rey final clash with Athletic Bilbao on May 25th.
"The player underwent surgery this afternoon to correct his fractured clavicle after sustaining his injury this morning during the first team's training session," read a statement on the club's official website.
"[Club] doctors Ricard Pruna and Carles Torrens, in collaboration with Mutua Egarsat, performed surgery on Dani Alves' broken clavicle.
"The player will be out of action for six to eight weeks."
