Real Madrid's Rui Faria defends his conduct during matches

Real Madrid fitness trainer Rui Faria has defended his conduct in La Liga matches this season after being quizzed by journalists on the matter.
The 36 year old has been sent off on three occasions this season; seeing red against Sporting Gijon, Malaga and Villarreal for criticising referees during the games. But the trainer, part of Jose Mourinho's technical staff at the Bernabeu, was quick to defend and subsequently dismiss his actions.
"What I did was always defending the interests of Real Madrid. It is in the past, we must look forward and enjoy the great season we've had." the Portuguese told AS.
"Decisions were taken at specific times, but now, it is in the past."
Faria, who has travelled extensively with Mourinho, joining his staff at Porto, Chelsea and Inter also sought to dismiss speculation about his future with the newly-crowned Spanish champions.
"I have nothing to confirm nor deny. I'm happy right now with this project, and what I think is continuing to work and still be a part of this group.
"I want to win and keep doing what we've done."
Real Madrid complete their Liga season against Mallorca on Sunday evening at the Bernabeu.
