I have a say

Parma coach Roberto Donadoni has urged his players to complete a memorable end to the season with a win over Bologna.

The Gialloblu set a new club record of six straight victories in Serie A in last weekend's 2-0 triumph at Siena.

"We still have a game to go and it would be nice to finish off the campaign with a seventh consecutive victory," Donadoni said.

"We are playing very well and wins give you confidence.

"I hope my team can maintain this attitude until the end."

Parma are level on 53 points with seventh-placed Roma heading into the final weekend.

Few could have predicted earlier this year that the Ducale club would end the campaign in the top half of the standings.

Parma parted with Franco Colomba on January 10 with the team in 15th place and handed the reins to ex-Italy boss Donadoni.

The Gialloblu have shown few signs of weakness and have scored 14 times in their last six games while they have given away just three goals in as many encounters.

Bologna captain Marco Di Vaio is expected to get a standing ovation in Sunday's game at the Ennio Tardini stadium.

The veteran forward, who played from 1999 until 2002 at Parma, will make his last appearance in Serie A after announcing this week that he will leave Italy this summer.

Di Vaio, who has scored 10 goals this season, is expected to join Montreal Impact in Major League Soccer.

"I have spent four great years in Bologna, and I don't want to feel like I'm a burden to the club," Di Vaio said. "I have received an interesting offer from the Impact and I'm considering it."

Last weekend's 2-0 victory over Napoli was Bologna's third consecutive triumph and lifted Stefano Pioli's side to ninth place.
