Milito, who scored both goals in Inter Milan's 2010 Champions League final triumph, also believes that there are great things in store for the club with president Massimo Moratti seeking to invest more into the team.
He added on Sky Sport Italia: "I'm happy in Milan. I'm at a great team who are the offspring of a great club and we are already convinced that we will return to being competitive next season.
"The president has always invested in the squad, and not just in terms of passion, to make a great Inter."
The Argentine striker also heaped praise on new manager Andrea Stramaccioni's impact to the team ahead of the Milan derby.
"Stramaccioni's arrival has been very positive,"he said, "With him, we have rediscovered our identity and regained our confidence. Stramaccioni has given us enthusiasm."
"The derby is always important for all of us and for the fans," admitted Milito, "The race for third place has become difficult, but we must forget about Parma and try to win the derby, which is always a lot different and very special, regardless of our respective rankings."
Inter Milan are currently three points adrift of the third and final Champions League spot with two games left to play.
