Chivas USA 1-2 Chicago Fire: Pappa spanks hosts

Chivas USA scored at home for the first time this season, but still lost its fifth consecutive match at the Home Depot Center. The Chicago Fire came from behind to win 2-1.
A combination of suspension and injury gave rookie Austin Berry his first professional start. Within 20 minutes he conceded a penalty, Alejandro Moreno going down -- perhaps lightly -- in the box, and Juan Pablo Angel finishing crisply.
Berry didn't dwell on his ill luck. Less than two minutes later, when Sebastián Grazzini hooked a long throw over the Goats backline, Berry stuck out a leg and directed the ball past Dan Kennedy to equalize.
Kennedy kept his team in the match, pulling off five saves, most notably an incredible double block around the hour mark.
But Pappa undid the Goats' defensive work, capping off a flowing move with a low, rasping shot that won the game in the 93rd minute.
