Michel knows Real Madrid well and has a plan to stop them, claims Sevilla's Jesus Navas

Jesus Navas has warned Real Madrid not to underestimate Sevilla after claiming that coach Michel has devised a plan to stop his former side at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

The Andalusians trainer is regarded as a Blancos legend, having joined the club as a 13-year-old before making over 400 Liga appearances in a 14-year spell between 1982 and 1996, while his time in the capital earned him a place in two World Cup squads for Spain.

However, it is this experience that Navas feels will play into Sevilla's favour and possibly lead to Madrid's downfall.

"Michel knows Real Madrid well," Navas told AS. "He has a plan to stop them.

"We know how to take our chances. Sevilla always look up, our playing style and the players we have support our philosophy.

"Real Madrid will go to the death for that edge over Barcelona [in the league standings] and they currently have it [first place] in their grasp.

"I rejoice for [former team-mate] Sergio Ramos, especially because he deserves a title victory both as a person and as professional."

Navas was then quizzed on whether another disappointing season for Sevilla would prompt him into leaving the club over the summer, but he remained tight-lipped on the prospect.

"You never know, what I want is to enjoy my life and grow each and every day," he continued.

"I'm not ruling anything out, but needless to say I only think about what happens at Sevilla, nothing distracts me."
