Forfar Athletic vs Albion Rovers FC preview - Injury doubts concern Campbell
Posted Saturday, April 28, 2012 by PA
Forfar have Iain Campbell available after suspension against an Albion side that sits one place and one point above them in the relegation zone.
Station Park boss Dick Campbell will finalise his side after fitness tests on five players, with Mark McCulloch, Jamie Bishop and Kevin Byers rated as having the best chances of playing.
Campbell is keeping the identity of the two other players close to his chest.
He said: "Albion have done really well recently with 11 points in five games, but this game is all about what we do.
"We know if we win the next two games we will stay in this league and that's a huge incentive."
Albion defender Alan Reid will miss his first league game of the season through suspension as the Coatbridge men look to secure their Second Division status.
Reid sits out a one-game ban, but on-loan Rangers striker Jack Werndley is available after suspension, while manager Paul Martin is waiting on news of striker John Gemmell's back problem before finalising his side.
Martin said: "Eight games ago we were down and out and now it's in our own hands to stay up. It's been a great turnaround, but we now face a cup final at Station Park.
"Our players have the chance to make history by being the first Albion Rovers side since before the Second World War to stay in a division following promotion."
