Del Piero: Juventus are favourites to win Scudetto

Juventus attacker Alessandro Del Piero has conceded that his side are favourites to win the Serie A title.

The Bianconeri are three points clear of second-placed AC Milan with four matches remaining in the competition ahead of Sunday's trip to Novara. Del Piero believes that Juventus have the edge in the race for the Scudetto, but warned his side against becoming complacent.

"It is not superstition, but we can only talk about the Scudetto when we have mathematically won," the 37-year-old told Premio Gentleman.

"We are in a clearly privileged position, but if you look at what has happened this season in the league, you realise the dangers which lurk behind every game.

"The match against Novara will be hard and we must give our best. It will be the most important match of the season."

Juventus' last Scudetto dates back to 2003 as the 2004-05 and 2005-06 trophies were revoked following the Calciopoli scandal.
