Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored in the last minute to rescue a point for 10-man AC Milan from a 1-1 draw against Bologna.

The Rossoneri looked to be heading for just their third defeat at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium this season after Gaston Ramirez had put Bologna in front in the 26th minute.

Ibrahimovic looked to have equalised in the 58th minute only for the referee to disallow the goal for a controversial offside decision.

The hosts then had defender Daniele Bonera sent off for a second yellow card eight minutes from time but Ibrahimovic earned his team a vital draw as they moved level on 68 points with Serie A leaders Juventus, who take on Roma on Sunday evening.

Milan almost took the lead in the opening minute when Ibrahimovic got past his marker but his 30-yard effort was kept out by Bologna goalkeeper Federico Agliardi.

The visitors went in front when Mark van Bommel gave the ball away on the half-way line, allowing Alessandro Diamanti to launch a fast counter-attack.

The Bologna striker fed Ramirez in the area and he beat Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati with a left-footed shot.

Abbiati then made a save from Marco Di Vaio's close-range effort from Ramirez's free-kick.

Milan came to life in the second half and were unlucky not to draw level when substitute Antonio Cassano served Ibrahimovic and his neat finish beat Agliardi, only for the goal to be ruled out by an assistant's late flag.

On the hour mark, Robinho's attempt from the edge of the area was kept out by Agliardi.

Bonera was handed his marching orders after a late tackle on Robert Acquafresca.

But Milan continued to battle and their hard work paid off when Nicolo Cherubin failed to clear substitute Urby Emanuelson's cross, allowing Ibrahimovic to fire the ball past a helpless Agliardi.
