Stenhousemuir will be missing midfielder Paul McHale against Brechin after he was told to stay away from the club for the rest of the season by manager David Irons.

Goalkeeper Ally Brown returns after a one-week absence, but the versatile Sean Dickson remains absent with a thigh injury as the Warriors look to keep their play-off hopes alive and push Brechin closer to relegation.

Ochilview assistant manager Kevin McGoldrick said: "We looked to have a play-off place sewn up at Christmas time but have slipped back since then. But our win at Dumbarton last week means that we are still in there fighting.

"We need to pick up three points in every game to get there now, starting with the Brechin one."

Brechin will be without Gerry McLauchlan after the defender picked up an injury in training.

Glebe Park manager Jim Weir has several other absentees from his squad, as his side look for the win that will guarantee their Second Division survival.

Paul McLean, Charlie King and Paul McManus have all been ruled out and Derek Carcary only fit enough for a place on the bench.

Weir said: "We have good players at this club but we have suffered from a bad run of injuries and are continuing to do so. We need to get a win and settle things down as opposed to looking over our shoulders at the clubs below us.

"Things are in our hands and I want to keep it that way."
