'NO CONSIDERATION' ... Kenny Dalglish
KENNY DALGLISH has taken a swipe at the FA, saying: It’s about time they showed supporters some respect.
Liverpool fans were still celebrating last week’s FA Cup semi-final win over Everton when they learned they would be given just 25,074 tickets for next month’s Wembley final with Chelsea.
And if getting some 7,000 tickets LESS than for the semi-final was not bad enough, they face travel chaos ahead of the 5.15pm kick-off.
Network Rail have scheduled engineering work on the May 5 final date, meaning only three trains will run from Liverpool’s Lime Street that day — each of them leaving before 8am.
Reds boss Dalglish said: “They’ve increased the attendance at Wembley but I don’t think the 25,000 is any greater number of tickets than when I was playing.
“I don’t know but that’s for the FA to answer. The fans should be given more respect and taken into consideration more. I don’t think anyone’s got a voice for them.
“There’s a lot of things to be taken into consideration for a kick-off time — the police, the television. But the fans seem to be the ones who come third. As a fan, I would be disappointed.”
