Guarin: I owe my Inter career to AVB

Fredy Guarin revealed that he owes his current deal at Inter Milan to former Porto coach Andre Villas-Boas.
The highly-rated Colombian midfielder is on loan at Inter Milan after a late move in the January transfer window from Porto and he revealed that Villas-Boas was pivotal in landing him in San Siro.
"I haven't spoken to him yet, but if I am here at Inter then I owe him a lot," the 25-year-old told O Jogo, "I know that Inter asked him about me and he responded with some very important words."
Guarin only made his debut for the Serie A giants earlier this month because of a niggling calf problem but he remains hopeful of proving his worth to the Nerazzurri before the season's end.
"It's really important for me to be here at a club like this," he enthused. "Inter are a great institution and I want to win a lot - just like I did at Porto.
"We won nine trophies in three years and I want to try and repeat that feat here in Italy."
Guarin won the treble in Villas Boas' only season in charge at Porto, claiming the domestic double and the Europa Cup.
