Arbroath will be without suspended midfielder Keith Gibson as they host neighbours Forfar in the Scottish Second Division.

The Gayfield men will also be missing strikers Collin Samuel and Jordan Elfverson through injury, with manager Paul Sheerin reminding his players that they need three points to keep up the pressure on promotion rivals Cowdenbeath.

Sheerin said: "The only thing we can do is win our games and see where we end up.

"Everything is still in Cowdenbeath's hands but we did not want to miss out if they slip up.

"Forfar will be fighting for everything as they look to move away from relegation trouble and local pride will also see them wanting to severely dent our hopes."

Forfar boss Dick Campbell has a full squad at his disposal.

The Loons need a victory to keep put some distance between themselves and the foot of the table.

Campbell took the unusual step of telling his players what the starting line-up would be on Thursday night in a bid to get them totally focused on securing all three points.

The Station Park manager said: "This game is a huge one for us and I wanted the players to start focusing early on what is required to get a win.

"We are in a critical position and want to get out of it as soon as possible.

"The players have a job to do in this game and I am looking forward to seeing them do it."
