Chamakh is going back

CHAM PAIN ... he has flopped at Arsenal

ARSENAL flop Marouane Chamakh has been told he can rejoin Bordeaux — providing he is prepared to take a pay cut.

The Morocco striker, 28, has been a massive disappointment since leaving the French club on a free transfer two seasons ago.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has lost patience with a lack of goals and his off-field lifestyle, which saw Chamakh pictured smoking a shisha pipe after one defeat.

Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud confirmed talks had already taken place.

He said: “I have spoken with Marouane and told him that he is welcome at Bordeaux and that we still have room for him.

“The main problem will be financial because he has tasted the salaries in England and Arsenal will ask for a fee.

“Chamakh has told me that if he was to return to France, it would be to Bordeaux.”
