Sporting de Gijon 3 : 2 Levante - Gijon boost survival ambitions

Sporting Gijon gave their Primera Division survival hopes a welcome lift as a late goal from Gaston Sangoy saw them come from behind to see off Champions League chasing Levante 3-2.
Valdo scored one and set up another for Arouna Kone as the Valencia club twice went in front, but they were pegged back by goals from Oscar Trejo and Alberto Lora.
And Sangoy struck six minutes from time to see Sporting end a run of five league matches without a win.
Miguel De las Cuevas tested the waters early on for Sporting with a right-footed drive which fell wide of the left post, while David Barral had another opening for the hosts soon after which he also directed past the target.
However, it was Levante who took the lead with their first chance after 16 minutes. Javi Venta's cross from the right found the head of Valdo, who turned the ball in from close range.
Sporting equalised just six minutes later, though, thanks to Trejo, who ran on to a pass from Barral before dispatching his strike past visiting goalkeeper Gustavo Munua.
Chances continued to come at both ends, and Sporting goalkeeper Juan Pablo Colinas made his first save of the match to keep out a shot from Nabil El Zhar.
Barral also headed over the bar from a few yards out as the teams battled in vain to gain an advantage before the interval.
Juan Pablo made another good stop 10 minutes into the second half, turning away a free-kick from Ruben Suarez to keep the scores level.
But the Sporting goalkeeper was beaten once more after 63 minutes. Valdo was the provider this time, playing the perfect pass for Kone to lash home left-footed from 12 yards.
The home side refused to buckle, though, and found another leveller 11 minutes later with a 30-yard bullet from the left boot of Lora.
And the comeback win was secured six minutes from time thanks to substitute, Sangoy, who found the bottom right corner with his 18-yard drive.
