Morton welcome back defenders Ross Forsyth, Marc Smyth and Grant Evans from suspension when they entertain Partick.

Stuart McCaffrey remains out with injury, and after losing the lead twice to draw 2-2 with Queen of the South, Cappielow manager Allan Moore is instructing his players to keep their chins up.

He said: "We cannot feel sorry for ourselves just because we drew a game we should have won.

"We need to get points on the board to get away from the foot of the table.

"Thistle will be coming here confident after beating Ayr, however we are due a win over them and this would be a great time to get it."

Partick will be without the injured trio of David Rowson, Tommy Stewart and Darren Cole.

The Jags have risen to fifth place in the Scottish First Division recently, but will be without midfielder Rowson, forward Stewart and defender Cole as they look to push higher up the table.

Manager Jackie McNamara said: "Our win at Ayr on Saturday allows us to target the sides above us in the table.

"I do not want to settle for fifth place and I would reckon that the players are of a similar mind.

"Cappielow is not an easy place to get a result but we are looking to do the double after getting a last-minute winner the last time we were there.

"We won at Somerset Park because we moved the ball about quickly and sharply and I will be looking for us to do that again."
