I have a say

Brechin manager Jim Weir is hoping striker Paul McManus can win his fitness battle in time to face Stirling Albion.

McManus sustained a knee injury in last week's win at Arbroath and Weir has already ruled out David McClune, who has a groin problem and Derek Carcary (broken wrist).

Weir said: "Paul is in great form just now so we want to have him available for this game.

"This is the first of five cup finals that will determine what division we are playing football in next season.

"Stirling will be looking at it exactly the same way, but we simply have to build on that great win we had last week at Gayfield."

Bottom side Stirling Albion will be without injured striker Kevin Kelbie.

Albion are chasing a win that would boost their chances of survival, but must do so without Kelbie (hamstring) and midfielder Shaun Fagan, who is still struggling with a groin problem.

Manager Greig McDonald, looking for a repeat of his side's 3-1 success they had at Glebe Park back in February, said: "We can go to Brechin with confidence as we played really well up there recently and deserved our win.

"It would be great to get the three points again and set us up for the last few games of the season.

"Brechin have lots to play for as well, so we'll have to be at our best to get another win."
