Mark van Bommel: Has been offered a deal by PSV, according to Brands

PSV Eindhoven have offered AC Milan midfielder Mark van Bommel a contract, according to sporting director Marcel Brands.

The Dutchman, who is out of contract in Milan at the end of the season, has been frequently linked with a return to his former club, where he spent six successful years between 1999 and 2005.

With the Rossoneri yet to offer Van Bommel a new deal, the 34-year-old could be tempted back to the Eredivisie after Brands confirmed PSV are in negotiations with him.

"The ball is now in Mark's court. We are in talks," Brands was quoted as saying by Eindhovens Dagblad.

Van Bommel's agent has already revealed that his client would be willing to take a pay cut in order to return to the Philips Stadion.
