Bale out? Spurs winger would welcome Spanish interest
The Welshman, who is widely regarded as one of the hottest talents in world football, is once again set to be the subject of interest from Europe’s biggest clubs this summer, and with the two Spanish giants believed to be heading the queue for his signature, Bale admits a move abroad is appealing.
‘If you are talking about Barcelona or Real Madrid, two of the biggest clubs in the world, then it's a bit like Harry [Redknapp] and England, it's a once-in-a-lifetime dream,’ he said.
‘If you said to any young player that you could play for Barcelona or Real would they turn it down? Probably not.
‘If a bid was accepted you would obviously have to seriously consider it.
‘But that has not happened so, at the moment, I'm just concentrating on Tottenham.’
Inter Milan have also been heavily linked to the 22-year-old, as have Manchester City, but Spurs would be loathe to sell their prized asset, and would demand a fee upwards of £40million to even consider letting him go.
