JUST THE JOB ... Harry Redknapp is perfect for England
TERRY VENABLES has urged the FA to get a move on and make Harry Redknapp England's new manager.
The SunSport columnist and former Three Lions boss fears we could pay a heavy price at Euro 2012, which starts 10 weeks today, if Wembley chiefs continue to drag their feet.
Tel said: "I think Harry is the candidate. But it seems to have gone on too long for me.
"There's now a double take and no one seems to know what's going on.
"What's good is the fact it looks to me like everyone wants Harry to take the England job. He's the popular vote."
The tournament in Poland and Ukraine starts on Friday June 8 with England's opening game against France on June 11.
Venables added: "The more time you can get in the better. There's nothing for you doing it cold.
"It's a big job and they have to get someone in there straight away to do something about it.
"I don't see any benefit in someone coming in at the last moment with a rah-rah-rah. He has to get to know those players."
