Internacional's Damiao and Villarreal's Rossi were among the strikers Tottenham boss Harry
Redknapp tried to land last year, before he had to settle for taking Emmanuel Adebayor on loan from Manchester City.
Damiao, 22, recently claimed there was still interest from the White Hart Lane club, but has now revealed he sees his future in Italy.
The Brazil international told Corriere dello Sport: 'Serie A is a league I really like.
'I'd like to play in Italy because my two favourite strikers are there, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.'
Giuseppe Rossi will take his goal celebration to Serie A
He did give his suitors in the Premier League some hope when he added: 'I think I might also do well in England or Spain.'
Former Manchester United forward Rossi is another player keen on a move to Serie A.
The Italy international's agent, Federico Pastorello, said the 25-year-old is ready to leave Villarreal after five years in Spain and that the La Liga club are prepared to sell.
However, he suggested Napoli was Rossi's most likely destination, as Manchester City target Ezequiel Lavezzi is set to move on.
'Lavezzi going to England and the money from his sale being used to bring Rossi to Napoli? I cannot confirm this, but it is a possible scenario,' he told Radio Kiss Kiss
Rossi is currently recovering from a knee ligament injury suffered in October and faces a race against time to be fit for Euro 2012.
