Promotion hopefuls Falkirk suffered a fourth successive defeat as Livingston won 5-2 at Falkirk Stadium.

The hosts took the lead just before the half-hour mark when Farid El Alagui finished inside the area after good work by Jay Fulton.

But Livi hit back seven minutes later through Rory Boulding when he produced a neat finish from the edge of the box. And Boulding claimed a second as they took the lead four minutes before the break, Stefan Scougall with the knock-down for a close range finish.

Victory was all but ensured in the 71st minute when Robert Barr broke into the area before finding the bottom corner.

The Bairns' misery worsened three minutes later when Iain Russell netted from the spot after Thomas Scobbie handled inside the area.

David Weatherston pulled a goal back before Barr settled any late nerves with his second in the 87th minute.
