Chelsea 'face competition from AC Milan for Willian transfer'

Chelsea are likely to face strong competition from AC Milan for the signature of Shakhtar Donetsk star Willian in the summer transfer window.

The Blues had a bid for the Brazilian rejected in January, but the attacking midfielder is keen to leave Ukraine at the end of the season and it was thought his destination would be Stamford Bridge.

However, reports in Italy suggest AC Milan will also make a big-money bid for the 23-year-old.
And agent Paulo Affonso is confident there will be other suitors for his client.

He told Calciomercatoweb he could not name the teams interested in Willian, but said: 'There are three English, two Spanish and three or four Italian clubs following him.'

Affonso added that he did not think Shakhtar would enforce the £29million buyout clause in the player's contract.

Last month, Santos chairman Luis Alvaro revealed the Brazilian club had pulled out of the race to sign Willian, as Chelsea had made a proposal worth 'tens of millions of euros' and the player was likely to move to London in the summer.
