Last chance for Mancini to win title
WAVE OF SUPPORT ... Didier Drogba

DID I miss something — did Chelsea win the Champions League on Wednesday?

When you see the manager on the pitch, a player waving a flag going down the tunnel and team-mates milking applause 10 minutes after the final whistle, they are the scenes I associate with winning a trophy.

We saw Frank Lampard and John Terry interviewed on TV saying it was one of their best European nights.

What had Chelsea done? They had qualified for the quarter-finals. That's all.

Don't get me wrong, they played well against Napoli but, for me, the reaction was well over the top.

Remember, this club has spent more than £2billion in transfer fees and wages under Roman Abramovich.

You'd think that would be more than enough to get you into the last eight in Europe every season.

I was confident they'd win at Stamford Bridge — and good luck to them.

But when I saw Didier Drogba with a flag in his hands and all of the other over-excited reaction, it really made me wonder.

They hadn't even overturned a great team.

Napoli are a decent side but they're in fourth in Serie A and haven't won a major honour in more than 20 years.

If beating them is enough for singing and dancing, I give up. They've got Benfica now which is a decent draw as they needed to avoid Barcelona and Real Madrid.

If they get through, it will be Barca in the semis. Beat them and they will have something to celebrate.
