Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri is facing an uncertain future ahead of his side's game against Atalanta.

The midweek exit from the Champions League at the hands of Marseille has increased the pressure on Ranieri, whose side are also out of the Coppa Italia and Serie A leaders and city rivals AC Milan by 17 points.

Inter won 2-1 on Tuesday to draw the tie 2-2, but Marseille went through to the quarter-final on away goals.

"I don't think Marseille deserved to progress more than we did," Ranieri said. "But they scored the goal that put them through and we were unlucky.

"I think this tie sums up our season, but we will not give up.

"We are going through a negative time and we just have to be strong and get over it.

"We have to find the motivation to end the season in the best possible way."

Inter are seventh in Serie A after last weekend's 2-0 triumph at Chievo that ended a nine-game winless run.

The Nerazzurri are eight points behind Lazio, who are third and hold the last Champions League qualifying spot.

Ranieri will have all his players available with the exception of injured defender Andrea Ranocchia and winger Wesley Sneijder, who is out with a muscle problem.

Atalanta travel to the Giuseppe Meazza stadium on a six-match unbeaten run.

Last weekend's 1-1 draw against Parma lifted the Bergamaschi to 12th in the standings, eight points clear of the drop zone.

Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono will be without midfielder Matteo Brighi, who is out for five weeks with a thigh injury.

Defender Daniele Capelli sustained a knee injury in training this week and is sidelined for the rest of the season.

However, striker Guido Marilungo returns from suspension.
