Old guard return as Chelsea bid to down Napoli

Chelsea veterans Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Michael Essien were named to start here Wednesday as the Premier League club aimed to ensure their Champions League survival against Napoli.

Lampard, Cole and Essien were controversially left on the bench by former manager Andre Villas-Boas last month as Chelsea crashed to a 3-1 first leg defeat in Naples.

However all three players were named in caretaker Roberto Di Matteo's starting XI at Stamford Bridge as the Blues attempt to overturn a two-goal deficit against the Serie A side.
