Inter wing-back Marco Faraoni has named Maicon and Thiago Motta as his two role models in football.
The 20-year-old, who has recently staked his claim in the starting XI for the Nerazzurri, revealed in an interview that the one-time Barcelona man was who he originally aspired to be like, but since his departure to PSG, Maicon is now the player he looks towards for inspiration.
"When I was little, I was never away from a football," Faraoni said to La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I did everything to play with my friends, I would even improvising a goal with two stones.
"My first role model was Thiago Motta, but since he left, I have been looking more carefully at Maicon, in the hope I can steal some of his secrets."
Faraoni, an Italy Under-21 international, has made 14 appearances in all for Inter this season, scoring once.
