Platini: Real-Barca final would be great

UEFA President Michel Platini commented that a Champions League final between arch rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona would be a "great" occasion for the entire world.
The two clubs have never met each other in the final of the continent's top showpiece event and it's something most football fans would love to see.
With Real Madrid currently leading Barcelona by 10 points in the La Liga, the Champions League has become even more of a priority for the Catalans.
Platini himself won the European Cup Winners' Cup with Juventus in 1984 and the current head of the European football body tipped the Clasico as a likely matchup for this year's Champions League final.
He said on Sunday that a final between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona would be "a good end".
"There are still English clubs, Italian, French ... I do not know if the draw holds for a final between Real Madrid and Barcelona but it would be a good end, it would be a good match," the Frenchman was quoted as saying by Canal+ .
While the domination of the Spanish league by the two giants is a concern for many fans, Platini himself was not perturbed by the situation.
"Ten points is enough for Real Madrid to win the league, but in the end, the most deserving club, as in the Champions League, should win regardless of the manner," he said.
He also dismissed suggestions that the Madrid-based side sought to exercise its influence within Europe making it difficult for UEFA to administer the region.
"We've always had good relations with Real Madrid and Spain and whenever we come, they treat us well," he said.
Real Madrid beat Espanyol 5-0 on Sunday and maintained their ten-point lead over Barcelona with 13 games left in the season.
