Dumbarton vs Cowdenbeath preview - Graham concern for Sons

Striker Ally Graham is an injury doubt for the visit of leaders Cowdenbeath as third-placed Dumbarton look to extend their unbeaten run to 11 games.

Fellow forward Mark Gilhaney could return after missing out on the 2-2 draw at Brechin at the weekend through illness with manager Alan Adamson reckoning this game will tell him more than the previous 10.

Adamson explained: "Cowdenbeath beat us 4-0 here in September and we were chasing them all over the place that afternoon. We went to Central Park determined to do better but that game was ruined by the wind so we could not learn anything that day.

"How we play in this game will be a measure of how much improvement we have made throughout the season."

Cowdenbeath have the chance to open up a four-point lead at the top of the Second Division by seeing off in-form hosts Dumbarton.

But player-manager Colin Cameron will again miss out due to a knee problem.

The former Scotland international is joined on the sidelines by David Cowan and Thomas O'Brien with Dene Brett an injury doubt.

Cameron said: "It is an opportunity to open up a bigger lead but it will not be an easy task.

"Dumbarton are on a great run and they will be viewing this as an opportunity to get closer to Arbroath and ourselves as opposed to just helping secure a play-off spot.

"As always it is more important what we do as opposed to the opposition."
