Napoli go into Sunday's Serie A clash at Parma boosted by the news manager Walter Mazzarri is set to remain at the club next season.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis announced ahead of the game that the club intend to keep Mazzarri at least for another year.
Mazzarri is under contract with the Naples outfit until June 2013, but has been strongly linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer.
"The media reports linking him to Inter are just rumours," De Laurentiis said to Gazzetta dello Sport. "There is no truth to them.
"He has a contract with us and I believe our working partnership will continue for at least a further year."
Mazzarri guided Napoli to a third-placed finish last season and the Azzurri are currently enjoying a fine campaign.
They are fifth in Serie A and hold a 3-1 advantage in their Champions League last-16 tie with Chelsea.
Last weekend's 1-0 triumph over Inter was Napoli's fourth successive league triumph and left them five points behind third-place Udinese, who hold the last Champions League qualifying spot.
Parma, in contrast, have not won since February 5.
The Gialloblu looked to be heading for their eighth win of the campaign last weekend, but conceded a late Rodrigo Palacio equaliser and had to settle for a 2-2 draw at Genoa.
"I am very disappointed," Parma coach Roberto Donadoni said. "To give away a goal in stoppage time hurts.
"We need to learn from this game and know that we must be focused from start to finish.
"Now we have to prepare for a very difficult game against Napoli."
Parma are 14th in the standings and remain unbeaten at the Ennio Tardini stadium since October 23.
The Gialloblu must overcome the absence of captain Alessandro Lucarelli, who serves a one-match ban, while the visitors will be without suspended defender Salvatore Aronica.
