Livingston welcome back midfield dynamo Stefan Scougall against Dundee with recently-appointed manager John Hughes looking for a positive reaction from his players following last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Ayr.

Defenders Jonathan Brown and David Sinclair remain out injured and striker Kenny Deuchar has moved on loan to Stenhousemuir.

Hughes said: "In the opening stages at Ayr you saw the good side of Livingston, unfortunately we saw the disappointing side after that.

"We have talked about it and I am looking forward to seeing the improvements I asked for against a Dundee side I rate highly.

"They have a lot of experienced players and I am delighted to be facing them in my second home game and hoping we get a win like we did in the first."

Dundee could be pick the same side as they look to end a run of five consecutive draws.

Midfielder Kevin McBride will be involved as a trialist for the second time, however winger Nicky Riley continues to be out with a back problem and manager Barry Smith is being guarded about another injury at Dens Park.

Smith said: "I have a player who is likely to miss out but I do not want to give anything away.

Livingston will be massively fired up for this game by John Hughes and John Collins after losing last week."

"We lost 4-2 the last time at Livingston and want to do much better this time."
