I have a say

Brechin City should have striker Jim Lister available to face visitors Dumbarton after he returned to training on Thursday night.

However there was little other good news for manager Jim Weir on the personnel front.

The Glebe Park club look set to be missing six players with Paul McLean, David McClune, Charlie King, Gerry McLauchlan and Derek Carcary all out injured and Scott Buist suspended, to leave Weir trying to bring in a loan signings on Friday afternoon to bolster his numbers.

"Dumbarton deserve praise for a run that has seen them pick up 25 points out of 27 but we will be out to end it," Weir said. "We beat them in the Scottish Cup at Glebe Park this season and are determined to do it again."

Dumbarton's fantastic run of eight wins in nine games is under threat as striker Bryan Prunty heads a list of four major doubts due to a hamstring problem.

On a positive note Kevin Nicoll is available again, however James Creaney is struggling with a foot knock, Ally Graham picked up a knee knock against Stenhousemuir in midweek and Mark Gilhaney has been ill to leave manager Alan Adamson unsure of his plans for the visit to a ground he considers unlucky.

Adamson said: "Glebe Park has been a bit of a bogey place for us and I can't remember the last time we played well there. It will be a very heavy pitch and I will only go with fully fit players."
