Ayr are again without injured quartet John Robertson, Martyn Campbell, Alan Trouten and Sean Higgins as they look to continue their unbeaten record against Falkirk this season.

The Honest Men sit second from bottom in the First Division after winning just one of their last 11 league games.

Manager Brian Reid said: "We have played Falkirk twice in the league and drawn as well as knocking them out of the Scottish Cup last month, so we can go into the game with confidence despite our differing placings in the league.

"We have been low on numbers and experience due to the injuries but the players have been big in heart and they will need to be again to take something from this game.

"We deserved something from Ross County in midweek but lost 3-2 and got nothing. Hopefully that will change in this one."

Falkirk's creative midfielder Mark Millar will return to the starting line-up after suspension.

Steven Pressley's side are looking for revenge following last month's Scottish Cup knock-out at Somerset Park.

Everyone else in the squad is available and technical director Alex Smith said: "There may be a few positions between the teams in the league but that will not influence our thinking at all as after losing in the cup we know exactly how tough it will be to win this game.

"I watched them in midweek against Ross County and Ayr only lost to a wonder goal but we have a big support going down to this game and are looking for the win that keeps us in the good position we are in."
