Brechin City vs Stirling preview - Quartet missing for City
Posted Tuesday, February 28, 2012 by PA
Brechin will again be without Euan Moyes, David McClune, Derek Carcary and Jim Lister as they take on bottom-side Stirling.
Gerry McLauchlan and Charlie King could both return for the Glebe Park men who are looking to recover from an injury-time loss to Cowdenbeath at the weekend.
Manager Jim Weir said: "We will need to bounce back from that disappointment to get the win we need to boost our play-off chances.
"With Dumbarton and Stenhousemuir playing each other as well we will make ground on somebody if we win.
"It will not be easy as we had to score late goals to win at Stirling recently. They are fighting for their lives and we will have to match that."
Stirling can move level with Albion Rovers at the foot of the Second Division if they win.
However, they will be without attacker Scott Davidson following his dismissal at Dumbarton at the weekend.
Injuries continue to rule out Marc McCulloch and Andy Hunter, with Brian Allison also out as he serves the second game of a suspension.
Manager Greig McDonald said: "I am disappointed with how things turned out at Dumbarton after going a goal up and then losing 4-1 but we will move on. ca
"We may have lost to Brechin recently but we ran them really close. We have the chance to draw level with the side immediately above us and that is a great incentive."
