Catania vs Novara Calcio preview - Mondonico urges focus

Novara coach Emiliano Mondonico has warned his players they cannot afford to take their foot off the pedal when they visit Catania on Sunday.
The Piedmont outfit are looking to defend their Serie A status this season and go into their encounter in Sardinia on a three-match unbeaten run.
Novara followed their 1-0 triumph over Inter Milan with a goalless draw against Atalanta last time out.
That result lifted them to 19th place, six points from safety.
"My players are trying really hard and the important thing is that we are getting points," Mondonico said. "But we cannot get our hopes up just yet.
"We will take things one step at a time as we have done throughout the season.
"We have to continue to work hard and make the most of our chances.
"We have an important game at Catania and we have to go all out for victory."
Novara have the second leakiest defence in the competition behind Genoa with 42 goals conceded, however, they have shown a vast improvement in recent weeks.
Mondonico's side has conceded just one goal in its last three games.
Rivals Catania will fancy their chances of avoiding defeat as they remain unbeaten at the Angelo Massimino stadium since December 4.
The Sicilians, coached by Vincenzo Montella, recorded their first win on the road since November in Wednesday's 1-0 triumph at Siena.
The result lifted Catania to 10th place, nine points clear of the relegation zone.
"I am pleased with my team's performance but we cannot relax," Montella said.
"We need to get at least 10 more points to ensure Serie A safety and we have to do it as soon as possible.
"This is why Sunday's home game against Novara is vital for us."
