Arbroath captain Stuart Malcolm returns from suspension as the Red Lichties look to keep up their chase of leaders Cowdenbeath by seeing off Forfar at Gayfield.
Midfielder Lee Sibanda is a doubt after pick up a knock against Cowdenbeath at the weekend and player-manager Paul Sheerin is again without goalkeeper Michael White and striker Jordan Elfverson through injury.
Sheerin is looking for a repeat of the recent 4-2 success his men had against the Loons.
He said: "We put on a good display at Station Park and got a deserved win. We need to match that display to win again, as three points not only keep pushing us towards securing a play-off place, they keep pressure on Cowdenbeath at the top."
Forfar defender Jamie Bishop will be sidelined by a knee injury once again.
Michael Bolochoweckyj missed the 4-0 defeat to East Fife at the weekend and he is a doubt for manager Dick Campbell.
The Station Park boss is looking for his men to show what they are capable of and he said: "We had great wins against Stenhousemuir and Cowdenbeath last month so we are capable of winning this one.
"Unfortunately we never got on a roll with further wins and we still find ourselves in eighth place which is much lower than we should be.
"Arbroath played really well at our place but we can win this game."
