Hamilton FC vs Raith Rovers preview - Injury worries for Reid
Posted Tuesday, February 21, 2012 by PA
Hamilton entertain Raith Rovers and manager Billy Reid has some injury problems.
Mark McLaughlin and Ali Crawford are both ruled out, while young striker Andy Ryan is a doubt with a shin injury.
Accies boss Billy Reid has asked his players for the same again despite their 1-0 defeat to Falkirk at the weekend.
"The only thing we did not do was convert our chances but I am sure if we keep playing like we did the goals will come," he said.
"If we can play to the standard we set against Falkirk I am sure we will do well.
"It will be difficult as Raith will be hurt by losing 4-0 at Livingston on Saturday and will be looking to hit back."
Raith Rovers will be without captain Iain Davidson after his red card in the 4-0 defeat from Livingston at the weekend.
Iain Williamson is a doubt with an ankle injury as Kirkcaldy manager John McGlynn looks for a positive response from his men after they slipped to ninth in the table.
McGlynn said: "I am a firm believer that the best thing after a disappointing performance is to get playing again as soon as possible. We are all keen to show that we are a better side than we showed at Livingston.
"We have had two great games against Hamilton this season where we have picked up a win and a draw but I would probably settle for a scrappy 1-0 win this time."
