Emanuelson relieved after first goal for AC Milan

Urby Emanuelson expressed his relief after netting his first goal for AC Milan in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Cesena.

The Netherlands international, who arrived at San Siro from Ajax in January of last year, put the Rossoneri two goals to the good at the Dino Manuzzi with a terrific drive and did enough over the course of the 90 minutes to suggest that he is finally adapting to an attacking role.

"Finally I scored a goal," Emanuelson is quoted as saying by his club's official website. "Today [Sunday], I played a good game; I'm very happy.

"The boss [Massimiliano Allegri] spoke to myself and Robinho: he wanted movement and that's what we gave him.

"I feel more and more comfortable in my trequartista role. The coach changes a lot every game, but today I've done well and I also scored a goal."

Emanuelson admitted that Milan's players have already turned their attention to next Saturday's clash with title rivals Juventus.

"We have an important game next week," the Dutchman added. "The victory today was good because it means that we remain on top and are now going into the Juve game in the best possible shape."

Meanwhile, on-loan Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari is also looking forward to the visit of the Bianconeri after he too netted his first goal for the Rossoneri in the win over Cesena.

"We'll prepare well for the game against Juventus," he declared. "We're keeping our feet on the ground and I believe that we'll do well."

Milan top the table by a single point over Juve, who also have a game in hand over the reigning Italian champions.
